Minister of Local Development: Cooperation with the Ministry of Health is an honorable model for confronting health and environmental challenges
Minister of Local Development, Dr. Manal Awad, said that the close cooperation between the various ministries and agencies, especially between the Ministry of Local Development and the Ministry of Health and Population, is an honorable model for joint work to confront health and environmental challenges and ensure the provision of integrated health services that meet the needs of all citizens.
This came during the Minister’s participation today, Sunday, in the celebration held by the Ministry of Health and Population to launch the National Executive Plan for One Health
(2024). -2027) and the strategic framework for health adaptation to climate change 2024-2030, which was held under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and in the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development, Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, and representatives of the World Health Organization and the World Health Organization. Food and Agriculture of the United Nations and a number of deputy ministers of health and agriculture and ministry leaders.
The Minister of Local Development added that this is an important conference that reflects The country’s commitment to enhancing human and environmental health through the “One Health” strategy Which reflects Egypt’s Vision 2030, and the directives of the political leadership towards achieving sustainable development that enhances the quality of life for every citizen. The importance of promoting the concept of " One Health " Which combines human health, animal health and environmental health, and this approach reflects an advanced awareness of the importance of the interconnection between the components of the ecosystem to achieve a better future for us and our future generations. She stressed the Ministry of Local Development’s commitment to continuing to support these efforts by activating sustainable development plans at the local level, increasing health awareness, and supporting community initiatives that contribute to improving the environment and public health.
At the end of her speech, the Minister of Local Development extended sincere thanks and appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development for his great efforts and everyone who contributed to organizing this conference, expressing her aspiration for more cooperation and joint work to achieve our goals.
