Minister of Higher Education: Investing in scientific research is a fundamental pillar for advancing development
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressed that investment in scientific research is a fundamental pillar for advancing economic and social development, noting that the Ministry attaches great importance to developing applied research that can be transformed into investment products… adding that these efforts come Within the framework of implementing the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, which was launched in March 2023, with the aim of achieving scientific and technological integration between academic institutions and the business community.
This came during the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Sabreen Abdel Galil, President of Luxor University, signed important cooperation protocols between the South Upper Egypt Alliance, which includes the universities of (Luxor, Sohag, South Valley, Aswan, Hurghada, and Merit), and the “Saed” institutions. And “Anroot Development” .. During the activities of the “Investing in Scientific Research” conference, which was held at Sohag University with the participation of an elite group of government university presidents, ministry leaders, and faculty members.
The minister explained that the state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, is working to Diversifying the higher education system by establishing public, private, private and technological universities, in addition to international university branches, which provides an integrated educational and research environment that stimulates investment.
From For her part, Dr. Sabreen Abdel Galil, President of Luxor University, confirmed that the university is committed to supporting scientific research and maximizing its benefit to serve society, stressing the importance of linking research outputs to development plans in various fields… adding that cooperation with universities in South Upper Egypt and development institutions contributes to enhancing innovation and applying Research solutions in practice.
