Organizing Committee for"Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open Tennis Club": The 2025 edition is the strongest in the tournament’s history
ABU DHABI, 10 JANUARY / WAM / The organizing committee of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open Women’s Tennis Championship announced that the 2025 edition will be the strongest in the history of the tournament, with the participation of 7 of the top 20 players in the world in the Women’s Tennis Association rankings, which strengthens its position as one of the most prominent and important events. The Abu Dhabi Sports Council is organizing the tournament in Zayed Sports City from February 1 to 8, 2025.
The next edition of the tournament will feature the participation of a group of the most prominent female tennis players, led by Kazakhstani Elena Rybakina, the champion who will defend the title and ranked sixth in the world. Daria Kasatkina, ranked ninth in the world, will also return, while the Swiss, Tokyo 2020 gold medalist Belinda Bencic, is preparing to champion. 2023 edition, to return strongly to participate.

The squad also includes American Emma Navarro, ranked eighth in the world, who is known for her strength and consistency, and star Jelena Ostapenko, ranked 17th in the world, who is characterized by a strong attacking style, in addition to Diana Schneider, ranked 13th in the world, who was able to join the list of the top 15 players. Thanks to her outstanding performance despite her young age.
Nigel Gupta, tournament director at IMG, said that this year’s edition of the tournament is an important step towards strengthening the status of tennis in the region, as seven of the top 20 players in the world have been confirmed to participate, which reflects the growing status of the tournament on the global stage.
