The Russian Investigative Committee brought charges against 27 people in connection with the terrorist attack on the Crocus shopping center on the outskirts of the Russian capital, Moscow, last year.

Alexander Bastrykin, head of the Russian Investigative Committee, said in an interview with the newspaper “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” that the terrorist attack on the concert hall building in the mall, Crocus City Hall in the suburbs of Moscow, was the most serious and tragic incident last year, as 146 people were killed, while he specified that The Main Investigation Department has 27 defendants in this case.

The terrorist attack occurred on the hall of the “Crocus City” commercial complex in the city of Krasnogorsk, on the outskirts of the capital, Moscow, on the evening of Friday, March 22, 2024, when several men wearing camouflage clothing stormed the building, carried out an armed attack, and opened fire on those present, before a concert by a Russian band began in the center’s concert hall. After that, several explosions were heard and a fire broke out, and 146 people fell victim to the terrorist attack.
