المملكة: “About a million volunteers.” Jeddah Municipality sets a new Guinness World Record
The Jeddah Governorate Municipality set a new record for the year 2025 in the Guinness Book of World Records, by organizing the “About a Million Volunteers” forum in its third edition. The forum received a Guinness certificate after recording an attendance of 1,277 participants.
The Director General of Social Responsibility in the Jeddah Municipality, Hattan bin Hashem Hamouda, explained that the third edition of the forum focused on several topics and workshops aimed at enhancing awareness of the importance of volunteer work.

Hamouda emphasized that the goal of the event was to highlight the passion of Jeddah volunteers and their role in supporting government agencies, which made the city a model that embraces volunteer energies.
He added that the Jeddah Municipality launched many distinguished initiatives to support volunteers, which contributed to achieving this exceptional achievement.
It is noteworthy that the Jeddah Municipality recorded the first record in Guinness in the year 2023 through its sponsorship of the largest mural in the world made of plastic sheets.
