Reason for ban
The authority had previously imposed the temporary ban based on the report of the World Organization for Animal Health dated December 6, 2024, which indicated the emergence of cases of infection with the virus in the province of Liège in the Kingdom of Belgium.
The authority affirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety of imported food and taking all necessary precautions to protect the health of consumers, noting that the decision to lift the ban came after studying the health situation and reviewing the recommendations of the World Organization for Animal Health.
