The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences announced the opening of registration for the new cycle of its medical awards, which aims to honor outstanding achievements in the field of health care locally and regionally.

The Medical Excellence Awards are divided into two main categories, the first directed at supporting health and research achievements in the Arab world, and the second aimed at highlighting and appreciating exceptional efforts within the United Arab Emirates.

At the level of the Arab world, the awards include the “Arab Award for Research in the Health Sector”, which is worth 200 thousand dirhams and is awarded to two winners and aims to support Arab researchers and encourage them to present innovative, high-impact research in the fields of medicine and health care, with a focus on publishing it in Internationally recognized peer-reviewed scientific journals.

It also includes the “Arab Award in Genetic Sciences,” which is considered one of the most prestigious awards designated to appreciate scientists and doctors in the field of human genetics and genomics, with a value of 370 thousand dirhams, and is awarded to individuals who have achieved outstanding scientific achievements that have contributed to developing the understanding of genetic diseases and improving strategies to combat them in the Arab world. .

Within the United Arab Emirates, the awards include the “Best Research Award in the Health Sector”, which is allocated to young specialists, with the aim of highlighting research talent and encouraging a culture of scientific research. Its value is 100 thousand dirhams and is awarded to three winners.

The awards also include the “Innovation Award in the Health Sector”, which aims to honor innovative projects that have helped develop and improve health care services within the country. Its value is 250 thousand dirhams and is given to two winners. In addition, the “Hamdan Award for Outstanding Excellence in the Health Sector” is awarded. The value of which amounts to 200 thousand dirhams, for Emirati citizens who have made prominent and influential contributions that have left a clear positive impact on the health sector within the country.
