المملكة: Friday weather: rain and hail showers in 9 regions

The National Center of Meteorology announced the expected weather conditions for today, Friday, in the Kingdom.
According to the meteorological statement, moderate to heavy thunderstorms are expected to continue, leading to torrential rains accompanied by active winds and hail showers in parts of the regions of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha and Makkah.

While it will be light to moderate in parts of the regions of Riyadh, Al-Qassim, Hail and the northern border, extending to the northern parts of the Eastern Province.
It is not unlikely that fog will form over parts of those areas, as well as over parts of the Al-Jawf and Tabuk regions.

Red Sea

Surface winds: North to northwesterly at a speed of 20-45 km/h in the northern and central parts, and south to southwesterly at a speed of 10-32 km/h, their speed may reach more than 45 km/h with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part.
Wave height: from one and a half to two and a half meters in the northern and central parts, and from half a meter to one and a half meters, which may reach higher than two metres, with rainy thunderclouds forming in the southern part.
Sea condition: Moderate to wavy waves over the northern and central parts, light to moderate waves that may reach wavy with the formation of rainy thunderclouds over the southern part.

Arabian Gulf

Surface winds: northerly to northeasterly at a speed of 15-35 km/h.
Wave height: from half a meter to one and a half metres.
Sea state: light to medium waves.
