Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural Institutions celebrate the National Environment Day
Al Ain February 4 / WAM / Sheikh Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan’s cultural institutions organized a series of awareness activities entitled “A conscious community for a sustainable environment” on the occasion of the National Environment Day under the directives of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Sheikha d. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, as part of the Shama Mohamed Environmental Education Program.
The activities hosted a group of school students with the aim of enhancing environmental awareness in the educational community. Maryam Hamad Al Shamsi, Secretary -General of Enterprises, received students and supervisors. The events witnessed the attendance of students from Al -Madar Al -Madar, Al -Alai Al -Dhafra, and Al -Ain Private Buds, in addition to the presence of Dr. Hussein Abu Artima, the director of the Baraem Al -Ain School, the engineer Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, and the engineer Walid Ahmed Kamel from the municipality of Al Ain City.
The Environmental Generations Club presented an introductory workshop on the history of the National Environment Day, its goals, and the environmental services provided by the UAE. The activities included interactive activities with students, as well as the “Little Farmers” workshop presented by Musleh Al -Eryani. The Environmental Club Club team also distributed the seedlings of Al -Ghaf tree to the audience. The Future Generations Library also contributed to the success of the activities through the smart mobile library, and the events were concluded by extending thanks and appreciation to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Sheikha d. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan for her continuous support for the educational field, and her active contributions to achieving the vision of good leadership by strengthening environmental and educational programs that serve society and its members and support the sustainable development goals.
