Dubai, February 10 / WAM / The Dubai Capital team won the champion of the third version of the Dubai Ports World Championship (ILT20) Cricket after beating the “Snakes of the Desert” team at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the final match yesterday.
The tournament started last January 11 and its competitions continued for nearly a month in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah with the participation of 6 professional teams: “Dubai Capital”, “MIA Emirates”, “Abu Dhabi Knight Riders”, and “Snakes of the Desert” And “Gulf Giants”, “Sharjah and Warrz”.
Dubai Capital Stars managed to win the title and win the grand prize of 700 thousand dollars, while the “Sahara” team won the second place award of 300 thousand dollars.
The hero team participated in the coronation of the hero team on behalf of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Emirates Cricket Council, Khaled Al -Zarouni, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Vice -Chairman of the Emirates Cricket Council, and Mohamed Abu Hamra, Executive Director of Operations in Dubai International Ports, sponsoring the championship.
