350 million euros Estonia’s defensive exports

Abu Dhabi, February 18 / WAM / The revenue of the Estonian defense industry is about 500 million euros annually, of which export constitutes 350 million euros, or about 70%.

Estonia seeks to raise the volume of revenues to 2 billion euros by the end of the current decade, with export to make up 80% of this number.

Estonia participates in its largest participation at all at the IDEX 2025 defense exhibition, which is currently in Abu Dhabi, with a pavilion of 17 national companies, in addition to two companies with separate wings.

This great participation comes to reflect the growth of Estonia’s interest in the defense markets in the Middle East, which is witnessing an increasing demand for advanced defense technology solutions.

René Ehsalo, director of the Estonian Defense and Space Industries Association, said in statements to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of the IDEX 2025 exhibition, that the Estonian pavilion includes a variety of advanced defensive solutions, including: drones, water purification systems, and dedicated advanced visual systems For defense operations, industrial robots and automation techniques.

Ehsalo emphasized the openness of Estonian companies to build various partnerships in the Middle East, whether in joint manufacturing or technology transfer, noting the success of some Estonian companies in entering the United Arab Emirates market and other markets in the region, which encourages more companies to expand their cooperation.
He pointed out that Estonia is working to enhance the resettlement of its defense industries, and believes that cooperation with countries like the Emirates can lead to long -term partnerships, support local defense capabilities in the region.
