المملكة: The Kingdom confirms its commitment to the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Prohibition Agreement and the importance of full implementation of it

The permanent delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, headed by His Highness Prince Gallawi bin Turki bin Gallawi, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Kingdom of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, participated in the work of the Executive Council in the 108th Black session. The delegation submitted a statement confirming the Kingdom’s commitment to the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Prohibition Agreement and the importance of its full implementation, and that the use of chemical weapons is a crime and a violation of the rules of the agreement and international law. He expressed his support for the request of the State of Palestine regarding the organization’s monitoring of the situation in Palestine, while he welcomed developments regarding the Syrian chemical file, and stressed the importance of the cooperation of the parties and providing the necessary support to the organization and Syria to solve the file permanently. He welcomed the conclusions of the World Conference on the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing the implementation of the chemical weapons agreement held in Rabat last year.
