FIFA is considering expanding the FIFA World Cup to include 64 teams

The New York Times reported that the FIFA is considering expanding the World Cup to include 64 teams.
The World Cup, which includes 48 teams, will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
The tournament will include 104 games instead of 64 games, as is the case in previous versions, including an additional round of the knockout role.
