Zelinski apologized to Trump for what happened in the White House

The American special envoy Steve Whitchov announced that outgoing Ukrainian President Vladimir Zellinski apologized to US President Donald Trump for the verbal argument between them in the White House.

“Zelinski sent a message to President Trump and apologized for everything that Haber from him in the Oval Office. I think this was an important step,” Witkeov said in an interview with Fox News on Monday.

The envoy continued: “There were many discussions between our team and the Ukrainians and the Europeans who were related to these discussions as well, and I would like to describe it as progress.”

In this context, Witkev expressed his hope to conclude the deal on investing Ukrainian natural resources soon, and perhaps during the Ukrainian US discussions in Saudi Arabia this week.

It is noteworthy that the public verbal altercation between Zelinski and Trump and his deputy, Jay de Vens, occurred during Zelinski’s visit to Washington on February 28, and led to tensions in relations between Kiev and Washington and postponing the signing of the agreement on the joint investment of Ukrainian natural resources.

Witkev’s comments come on the eve of a meeting between the American and Ukrainian delegations in Saudi Arabia, during which the two sides are expected to discuss the prospects for the settlement in Ukraine and the deal of natural resources..
