The Municipality of Jeddah Governorate revealed that, in cooperation with the concerned authorities, the seizure of two violating sites in the “Al -Ruwais” neighborhood, where more than 28,000 units of violating tobacco products were confiscated, and large quantities of electrical appliances for personal use and equipment used to imitate the country of origin were confiscated, as part of its continuous efforts to monitor and address negative phenomena in the governorate.
The Secretariat clarified that the field control teams in the General Administration of Monitoring and Treating negative phenomena, in cooperation with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Ministry of Trade, the Aziziyah sub -municipality, and the field seizure teams, were seized an irregularly exploited apartment to store “tobacco” products, where more than 3,000 products violating tax systems were confiscated, and more than 25,000 units of “tobacco” products were confiscated Source.

An irregular warehouse

The Secretariat added that another apartment that is used as an irregular warehouse was seized, as large quantities of electrical appliances for personal use were seized, as well as equipment used to imitate the country of origin and distribute them in the market.
The Jeddah Municipality affirmed the continuation of its supervisory efforts in cooperation with the competent authorities, calling on citizens and residents to report any violations through the official communications channels, in order to ensure the safety of the population and ensure the commitment of the markets to regular requirements.
