The Egyptian Clubs Association punished Al-Ahly and adopts the Zamalek victory 3-0

The Egyptian Football Clubs Association approved today, Saturday, Zamalek’s 3-0 victory over Al-Ahly, according to the Egyptian Premier League list, against the backdrop of the crisis of the summit match.
The Association issued the penalties for the first round of the second stage of the season, according to the league regulations and the list of violations and penalties for the 2024-2025 season.
The association said in a statement on its website that “three points were deducted from Al -Ahly, other than the points of the match in which he was considered defeated, with Al -Ahly to bear all the losses resulting from income loss from commercial contracts, broadcast contracts and all other expenditures resulting from participating in the competition matches before withdrawing based on a claim issued by the rights holders.”
Al -Ahly announced earlier in the day that it decided to file a complaint with the Egyptian Olympic Committee towards the Egyptian Federation for the game and the Association of Professional Clubs.
Al -Ahly said in a statement on its website, “The club’s board of directors decided in its meeting today to file a complaint with the Egyptian Olympic Committee towards both the Egyptian Football Association and the Professional Club Association regarding the procedures that violated the regulations regarding the summit match.
The Egyptian Olympic Committee responded to Al -Ahly in a statement via its Facebook account, and said that it is already looking at the complaint.
“The Egyptian Olympic Committee referred the complaint filed by Al -Ahly club against the Egyptian Football Association and the Professional Clubs League to the competent committee for its study,” she said.
“The Egyptian Olympic Committee confirmed that it will seek to decide on the complaint and respond to it before the start of the next round of the competition.”
The next round of the Egyptian League is scheduled to be held next April.
The Clubs Association said that it is awaiting the decision to decide on the complaint submitted by Al -Ahly to the Egyptian Olympic Committee and adhere to the decision of the Olympic Committee in that regard.
The summit match was canceled, which was scheduled to be held last Tuesday in the first round of the crowning stage after 20 minutes after Al -Ahly did not attend the field and the presence of Zamalek only.
Al -Ahly refused to go to the Cairo Stadium two hours before the match, and the team’s bus went to the club’s headquarters with instructions for the technical staff and the players to compete in normal training at the same time as the match.
Al -Ahly asked to postpone the match, and threatened not to complete the tournament.
A dispute broke out between Al -Ahly and the Egyptian Football Association and the Association of Professional Clubs after the defending champion asked to appoint a foreign arbitration team to manage the match between the two Egyptian football poles after criticizing the local arbitration.
On the other hand, the Egyptian Federation justified the appointment of a local referees team for the match, despite the request of Al -Ahly to appoint foreign referees, with the tight time between announcing the date of the first round of the championship stage in the Premier League and Al -Ahly applied it.
