The President of the State discusses with the Prime Minister of Montenegro to strengthen cooperation relations between the two countries

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, received today Meloyko Spagic, Prime Minister of the Republic of Montenegro, “Montenegro”, who is on a work visit to the state.

His Highness, during the meeting that took place at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi, welcomed the guest Prime Minister, expressing his aspiration that his visit to the UAE was a strong boost to the growing relations between the two countries, while His Excellency conveyed the greetings of His Excellency Yakov Milatovic, President of Montenegro, to His Highness and his wishes to the UAE more progress and prosperity.

His Highness and the Prime Minister discussed the possibilities of strengthening cooperation relations and expanding their horizons, especially in sectors of the developmental priority of the two countries, such as economics, trade, investment, renewable energy, food security, infrastructure and other areas that contribute to promoting sustainable economic prosperity in the two countries.

His Highness the President of the State and the Prime Minister of Montenegro also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common concern, stressing in this context the importance of enhancing work for peace and stability and resolving disputes by diplomatic means at the regional and international levels in order to support development and prosperity for all.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the UAE’s interest in strengthening its developmental relations with the Balkan countries, including Montenegro, where it has important investments in the region, especially in the fields of renewable energy, food security, infrastructure, etc., stressing His Highness on the UAE’s support for everything that enhances peace in the region in the interest of the stability of its countries and the prosperity of all its peoples.

For his part, His Excellency Prime Minister Montenegro expressed his thanks to His Highness the President of the State for the warm reception that he received and the accompanying delegation during his visit to the state, stressing his country’s keenness to push its relations with the UAE forward and invest all available opportunities in this regard.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides affirmed their mutual keenness to continue joint work to enhance development relations and provide all the ingredients for their prosperity for the good of the two countries and their peoples.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidency for Special Affairs, His Excellency Reem Bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation Affairs, and a number of senior officials .. Also attended by the accompanying delegation of Prime Minister Montenegro, which includes a number of ministers and senior officials.

During the meeting, His Highness the President of the State witnessed a ceremony signing two agreements in the fields of economics and tourism signed by the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, with His Excellency Meloyo Spagic, Prime Minister of Montenegro.
