The Riyadh Municipality announced the organization of a specialized training program within the efforts of the General Administration of Public Health, aimed at developing human competencies in the field of laboratory tests for food and water, which contributes to enhancing the quality and safety of products and achieving the highest general health standards in the city.

Applied axes

The program deals with applied axes in the “Microbiology Laboratory” and “Chemistry Laboratory”, and includes identifying basic technologies in food and water analysis, and examining pathogenic microbes that cause product damage.
In addition to analytical chemistry techniques, estimated elements and quality indicators in food and water.

Development of national competencies

It is noteworthy that registration in the program is available for graduates and specialists in microbiology, chemistry and relevant specialties, and it will last for two training days, and includes theoretical and practical aspects.

This program is an extension of the Riyadh Municipality’s strategy in supporting the development of national competencies, and its keenness to enhance scientific and supervisory aspects in the public health system, in order to achieve the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 towards a safe and sustainable urban environment.
