Obliging Sharjah Schools to present a “architectural scheme” before the end of “April”

The Sharjah Special Education Authority called on private school administrations that have no architectural plan approved by the authority, to submit a proposed architectural plan that meets the requirements and specifications of the authority, and gave them until the end of this month, and urged them to expedite the submission of the plan to avoid any legal consequences that may be exposed to it.
In the guide for the policy of adopting the architectural plans for private schools, from which the Emirates Today obtained a copy of the policy of architectural plans for schools, explaining that the issuance of initial accreditation and the accreditation of conformity and readiness by the Building Department in the Licensing Department does not necessarily mean issuing the educational license for the school.
She pointed out that the period of validity of the initial accreditation is six months, and in the event of the expiration of the period, it must be renewed within ten days, otherwise the accreditation is considered null and in the event of a request to extend the initial accreditation, the applicant or the owner or his representative must provide the institutional licenses department with the project implementation plan and the time period and the reason for the extension request, and the authority may extend it for a period not exceeding four years.
She stressed that private schools may not start building operations for new buildings, adding or amending the existing buildings except after submitting architectural plans and obtaining initial accreditation from the authority, while the private school headquarters is prohibited before submitting an application for institutional licenses and taking pre -initial accreditation from the building department in the authority.
The authority stipulated that a coordinator in each private school must be identified, provided that it is specialized and is aware of the engineering designs to be a permanent contact point with the authority, and if a meeting with the building department is required, the architect and the school coordinator are required.
