Sharjah celebrates an Egyptian cultural constellation in Cairo
Cairo, April 10/ WAM/ Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the Egyptian capital, Cairo, witnessed, yesterday evening, the launch of the twenty -first edition of the Sharjah Forum for Cultural Honoring, which celebrated four Egyptian writers, the writer and writer Uthman, and critic Shawky Badr, the writer and critic Salah Al -Sururi, the novelist and journalist Ezzat Al -Qamhawi.
The forum comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, by honoring literary stature that contributed to the service of contemporary Arab culture, and the forum will be replaced for the sixth time in Egypt after he honored 17 Egyptian creators during previous sessions.
The honoring ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Supreme Council for Culture in Cairo, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Owais, head of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, Muhammad Ibrahim Al -Qusayr, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs in the department, and Dr. Ashraf Al -Azazi, Secretary -General of the Supreme Council of Culture, along with a large number of Egyptian and Arab writers, thinkers and intellectuals.
The Egyptian poet Obaid Abbas stressed, during the ceremony, that Sharjah has become a leading model in supporting culture and arts and strengthened the Arab cultural scene thanks to its ongoing efforts.
For his part, His Excellency Abdullah Al -Owais said, in his speech, that the march of cultural cooperation continues between the Department of Culture in Sharjah and the Egyptian Ministry of Culture with the meanings of the brotherly partnership that resulted in many cultural activities varied between theater, poetry, narration and literary prizes.
He added that the Sharjah Forum for Cultural Honoring is back to the Arab Republic of Egypt to witness the honor of a new constellation of Egyptian writers and writers, in appreciation and appreciation for their wealthy literary bids, pointing out that the forum that is keen on communicating with the writers of the Arab countries, confirms his permanent endeavors to enhance the position of Arab culture, activate the literary scene and encourage the writer of every constructive word.
He pointed out that the continuation of this cultural cooperation confirms the depth of brotherly relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt, which is established by the rational leadership in the two countries.
For his part, Dr. Ashraf Al -Azazi said that in this session a group of writers and writers who influenced cultural life is celebrated, in order to pride in the role of the creator and the intellectual in the promotion of cultural and creative affairs in the Arab world, thanking His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his fruitful efforts to support and enhance the position of Arab culture, intellectuals, writers and creators.
For their part, the honorees praised the initiatives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and its active role in stimulating the Arab cultural movement, stressing that what Sharjah is doing establishes the status of culture as a basic pillar in building man and society, noting that Sharjah due to its cultural action has become a beacon of knowledge and creativity.
