The race witnessed a strong competition after the launch and with the approaching of the last meters, and the runner Maryam Karim resolved it with her rapid progress on the Indian competition to resolve the conflict over the first place.

The first golden Karim of the Emirates was achieved in the 400 -meter race yesterday with a time of 59.55 seconds, achieving a new number for the state, and destroyed the record for the Asian U -18 Championship, registered since 2017 in the name of Chinese running Liange Yina “59.71” seconds “.

Nasser bin Ashour, Secretary -General of the Federation, emphasized that the second gold of the runner Maryam Karim in the Asian Championship is the culmination of the strategic plans and programs adopted by the Federation’s Board of Directors headed by His Excellency Major General Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al -Murr, in building a base of heroes who possess competitive capabilities.

Ashour pointed out that the federation is keen on continuing programs that support the discovery of talents and refine their capabilities, by participating in external championships, and cooperating with clubs in all development programs to serve national teams.

It is noteworthy that the UAE achieved the seventh place in the overall ranking of the tournament, which concluded today, with the participation of 19 countries, with two golden scores, while China topped the overall ranking with 36 medals, and Japan came in second place with 7 medals, and Saudi Arabia in third place with 6 medals.
