المملكة: The first of October .. The last date for linking food factories and warehouses to the platform “Wasl”

The Food and Drug Authority obliged all meat, poultry and fish factories and warehouses, in addition to the transportation means allocated to these products, that the electronic linking process for the temperature and humidity measurement systems should be completed with the electronic platform of the authority, the first of October for 2025, a final date to fulfill this regulatory requirement.
This obligation, which was circulated to the business sector through the chambers of commerce, is based on directives from the Saudi Chambers Union as an essential part of the Authority’s project called “the application of the Internet of Things Technology to raise the commitment to the requirements of transportation and storage.”

Accurate follow -up

This project, which was launched in the beginning of 2021, aims to use modern technologies to ensure the maintenance of the ideal conditions for the transfer and storage of food, medicine, devices and medical products.

The electronic “connection” platform of the authority and other supervisory bodies allows accurate and direct follow -up of temperature and humidity in the facilities and means of transportation concerned, which greatly enhances the ability to control and monitor these vital activities and ensure the application of the highest quality, safety and safety standards in all stages of the supply chain of these sensitive products.
This project, which is imposed by the authority, aims to tighten control over a chain of supply products sensitive to heat and humidity, such as food, medicine and medical devices, by enabling the authority and relevant authorities to observe the instant and effective monitoring of the conditions of transportation and storage through the platform “Del”. Through this obligation, the authority seeks to ensure the highest quality, safety and safety standards for these vital products.
The authority stressed the concerned establishments to comply with this decision and complete the required link before the specified deadline, noting that the facilities can implement the link directly or through the use of the services of one of the qualified and accredited companies from the authority in this field, whose list can be found through the visit of the authority’s website.
