"Ajman Resources" The national campaign for the Emirati genome is organized for government employees and their families

Ajman, April 25 / WAM / The Human Resources Department in the Ajman government, in coordination with the Emirati genome program, is organizing the national campaign to introduce the genome program in the Emirate of Ajman for government employees and their families, over the course of April 29 and 30 at the headquarters of the Police and Shooting Club in Ajman.
Kaltham Al -Mandous, Director of the Institutional Communication Office in the department, explained that organizing this campaign embodies the department’s commitment to social responsibility, and its keenness to support national initiatives in various vital fields, especially the health sector, by providing all logistical and human capabilities to ensure the success of the campaign and achieve its goals.
She pointed out that the Emirati Genome program is one of the most prominent ambitious scientific projects that depend on accurate knowledge to achieve a better healthy and sustainable future, calling on citizens and their families to participate in this campaign, and contribute to their role in building a national database that contributes to the service of future generations.
This initiative comes within the national efforts aimed at enhancing the readiness of the health system in the country, by collecting genetic samples from citizens and analyzing them using the latest advanced technologies, in a way that contributes to predicting genetic and chronic diseases, preventing them, and providing highly accurate personal and treatment for current and future generations.
The campaign includes awareness activities that include an introductory workshop on the Emirati genome program presented by Dr. Ahmed Al -Awadi, Senior Vice President for Community and Government, Director of the Emirati genome program, during which he will review the goals of the program, the mechanism of gathering samples, methodologies and scientific technologies used in analyzing genetic data, and time will also be allocated to answer participants’ inquiries about the importance of the program and its long -term strategy.
