Sharjah adds the star “8” historically in the basketball league

The Sharjah team added the eighth star in its history with the World Basketball League championship, after its victory over its guest Al-Ahly with a score of (84-74), in a match they gathered yesterday, for the final round in the preliminary round of the tournament.
The final was previously, a meeting of the third place, during which Al-Nasr team succeeded in extracting the bronze medal by defeating Al-Batnah (78-74).
Sharjah needed to ensure the crowning of the title to the difference in points, after he ended the final round that was held from the two-legs, equal with 11 points with Al-Ahly youth, especially since the meeting of the two teams going in this role went to Al-Ahly youth (86-79).
Sharjah continued his brilliance for the current season, by gathering the two-season, after crowning it late last with the “Federation Cup”, and “King” added to his treasures the eighth cup of the league after he was crowned with seasons (1982-1983, 1983-1984, 1984-1985, 1987-1988, 1990-1991, 2003-2004, 2019-2020).
While Al-Ahly’s youth were deprived of continuing its domination of the league title he achieved in the past fourth seasons, as it was deprived of his continuation to break the records as the most culminated club clubs, and his limitation to the star “15”, after “the knights of the basket” crowned the league (-2000, 2000-2001, 2002-2003, 2008-2009, 2012-2012, 2013-2013 2013-2014 and 2014 And 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023 and 2023-2024)
The President of the Emirati and Arab federations, Major General Ismail Al -Qarqawi, crowned the presence of the President of the Sharjah Sports Council, Issa Hilal Al -Hazami, the Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Club, Khaled Al -Midfa, and the members of the Federation’s Board of Directors, to imitate the victory of the bronze medals, the Al -Ahly youth, the golden Sharjah and the championship cup.
Sharjah dominated the results of the first three periods of the match by (22-18, 17-16 and 21-16) was enough to ensure victory and win the title, after Al-Ahly youth was satisfied with the result of the fourth and final period by (24-24).
