The “environment” recommends planting plants in homes to absorb dust and reduce high temperature

The Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment recommended that members of society allocate spaces in their homes to plant plants, because of its active role in improving the surrounding air quality and reducing high temperatures, and indicated that home agriculture contributes to absorbing toxic gases and dust, which enhances air purity and reduces thermal effects in the circumference of the house.

In detail, the ministry confirmed that home agriculture is a sustainable approach that contributes to protecting the environment and enhancing the food security system and self -sufficiency in the UAE, and from this standpoint, the Ministry is working to spread the culture of home agriculture and encourage society to adopt it and allocate spaces in their homes to plant plants, in a way that supports the targets of “the general community” and the national program “implants the Emirates“.

She explained through its website, that home agriculture contributes greatly to protecting the environment by absorbing toxic gases and dust, alleviating the high temperatures around the house, reducing dependence on pesticides and chemical fertilizers, as well as strengthening the green economy through its contribution to reducing the carbon footprint associated with food transportation for long distances, and adding an environmental aesthetic touch.

“Move Emirates” program

Home agriculture practices support the targets of the “UAE cultivation” program, as the program includes several initiatives that support the directions of the UAE for agricultural development and enhance the levels of sustainable national food security.

The program aims to encourage the local community to self -self -production for the most important agricultural products, expand the green area in the country and support the environmental preservation efforts, and consolidate a positive mental image of the local product of high nutritional value.

The Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment works to instill the culture of community agriculture and the production of food for community members to contribute to meeting their daily food needs, by setting instructions and preparing programs and taking the necessary measures or decisions to enable community members to exploit certain areas at home to grow plants and allocate part of the area of ​​residential complexes for agriculture in coordination with the management of those complexes.
