This move comes within the framework of its early preparations for the Hajj season this year 1446 AH, with the aim of raising the level of readiness and enhancing the efficiency of field performance, and to ensure the safety of the guests of Rahman and achieve the highest levels of coordination and harmony while performing the tasks assigned to them.
Preparing for Hajj
Over two days, the two workshops reviewed a detailed explanation of the operational plan for the Hajj season for this year and prepared emergency plans.
During them, the mechanisms for distributing roles and tasks were clarified to the field teams scattered in various locations, in addition to creating the cadres in charge of business on the use of electronic systems efficiently, and the issuance of the necessary veterinary outlets related to the mission of livestock coming to the holy sites.
In this context, Dr. Ghaleb bin Abdul -Ghani Al -Saadi, Director General of the Branch of the “Waqa” Center in Makkah Al -Mukarramah Region, affirmed that the center had initiated the level of readiness from an early date, believing in the pivotal role that it plays during the Hajj season.
He pointed out that a “consequence” contributes with concrete effectiveness in protecting public health, preserving plant and animal wealth in the Kingdom and ensuring their sustainability.

Dr. Al -Saadi explained that the center is striving to achieve the targets of the operational plan by preparing and operating 73 field teams specialized in plant and animal health work in Makkah Al -Mukarramah region.
These teams will work on the accurate detection of livestock missions, to ensure their source, safety and free from diseases, in addition to issuing the necessary surfaces through the main ports leading to the Holy Capital, namely: Al -Kaakiya, Al -Shumaisi, Al -Sharia, Al -Nuriya, Al -Husayniyah, Ja`ranah, and Al -Hada.
Field tasks
The Director General of the “Daqa” branch in Makkah indicated that the tasks of the field teams are not limited to that, but also include intensive control work on livestock and slaughterhouses, to ensure the full commitment to the approved health procedures.

The teams are making great efforts in combating the causes of diseases of the disease, and plant health teams carry out the tasks of exploring, monitoring and combating desert locusts, potatoes, and black grasshoppers outside the urban range.
He added that 8 emergency teams were allocated to start rapid intervention and early warning operations around the clock to ensure immediate dealing with any emergency.
It is noteworthy that these two workshops, which were held in Makkah Al -Mukarramah in the presence of Fahd Abu Khalil, Head of the Operations Sector at the “Waqa” Center, and Adel Al -Huwaish, Secretary of the Follow -up and Management of Hajj and Umrah works in the center, and a number of officials, come within a comprehensive work plan that includes preparations in the regions of Makkah Al -Mukarramah and the Holy Places and Madinah, as well as the implementation of a number of awareness paths in various regions of the Kingdom.
