The Kingdom Pavilion highlights the diversity of the cultural scene at the Doha Book Fair

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia concluded its participation in the thirty -fourth session of the Doha International Book Fair 2025, which was recently held at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Center, amid a wide presence of visitors, and a prominent participation of publishing houses and regional and international cultural institutions.
The Saudi participation, led by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, which established a high -ranking cultural and literary delegation included: King Abdulaziz House, King Abdulaziz Public Library, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, the Publishing Association, and the King Fahd National Library, in the embodiment of the vitality of the Saudi cultural scene, within the framework of supporting the Saudi cultural and knowledge scene, and enhancing its international presence.

Cultural diplomacy

The Saudi pavilion presented a varied cultural content that reflects the richness and diversity of literary production in the Kingdom, and the qualitative shift in the cultural scene within the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 is highlighted, especially in the areas of empowering creators, developing local content, and opening up to international cultural partnerships.

This participation was a qualitative addition to the exhibition, through the varied cultural program contained in the pavilion, which includes dialogue seminars and poetry evenings, in addition to the opportunities provided by the pavilion to enhance cultural communication and cognitive exchange.

Saudi participation in the exhibition was an extension of its growing presence in international cultural forums, a manifestation of cultural diplomacy that reflects the modern civilizational image of the Kingdom, and the national efforts aimed at consolidating culture as a central civilized tributary in societal development and comprehensive renaissance.

Doha Book Fair

It is noteworthy that the Doha International Book Fair was launched in 1972, organized by the Qatari Ministry of Information and Culture, and turned into an international exhibition in 1982.

It is one of the most important book exhibitions in the Gulf, where he witnesses in each session a wide participation of Arab and international publishing houses, and presents a diverse cultural program that reflects its position as a platform for cultural dialogue and the knowledge industry.
