Aoun invites the Sheikh of Al -Azhar to visit Lebanon and reopen the Al -Azhar Institute in Beirut

The Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, today received the sheikh of Al -Azhar, President Joseph Aoun, President of the Republic of Lebanon, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation and discuss the challenges facing the region. The Lebanese President sent an official invitation to the virtue of the Grand Imam to visit Lebanon, and to reopen the Al -Azhar Institute, which stopped working due to the difficult circumstances that Lebanon has gone through, and the Sheikh of Al -Azhar welcomed the generous call, confirming its fulfillment at the earliest opportunity, and the preparation of Al -Azhar to restart the institute. Al -Azhari in Beirut, and providing him with two Azhari envoys at the highest level of science and culture, in addition to the authentic Azhar books and curricula.
