The Emirates is sixth in the Asian classification of women’s clubs

The Asian Football Confederation announced today the latest classification of the women’s club competitions 2024-2025, as the Emirates Football Association Football Federation competitions came in sixth in Asian in the overall ranking, and the first in the level of Arab federations under the umbrella of the continental federation, with 50.8 points.

The Emirates Football Association said in a statement today, Monday, that this arrangement represents a historic achievement of women’s football in the country, after the successful participation of the Abu Dhabi Women Club team in the first edition of the AFC Champions League for women, and its arrival in the quarter -finals of the continental championship, in addition to the great development witnessed by women’s football competitions in the country at the level of the first team and other age stages.

It is noteworthy that the Asian Football Confederation may count the points for all clubs after the conclusion of the AFC Champions League 2024-2025, while the national team points were based on the classification of the International Football Association of Women issued on March 6.

For its part, a member of the Board of the Football Association, Chairman of the Women’s Football Committee, Amal Bou Shalakh, said: “We value the rational leadership of Emirati women in various fields, especially in sports and football, and we thank Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates Football Association, for his continuous directives in order to advance women’s ball over the clubs and national teams, and proud of the successes achieved by women’s football in the country.”

She added: “We are happy with our presence in the introduction to the classification of Arab teams, and in an advanced continental location. We have many goals and aspirations to enhance women’s football, and we will continue to develop the performance and levels of our clubs and our Emirati teams and prepare them in a way that meets our aspirations in the major Asian and international competitions.”
