Abu Dhabi, June 2 / WAM / The Securities and Commodities Authority has called on all activists in the field of financial influence through digital platforms or media to initiate the registration and obtain a “financial influence” accreditation from the authority, and adhere to the organizational controls issued to ensure transparency and protect the rights of customers. His Excellency Walid Saeed Al -Awadi, CEO of the Authority said: The organization of the activities of financial influencers has become an urgent necessity in light of the digital acceleration in the financial and investment sector, and their pivotal role in influencing investor decisions, so obtaining an official accreditation from the authority reflects the commitment of influencers to professional standards and enhances the public’s confidence in the circulating financial content.
The Authority provides the qualifiers with the opportunity to apply for a “financial influence” accreditation, which enables them to provide investment analyzes and recommendations about approved financial products or bodies, via digital or traditional media, provided that the full adherence to the approved standards.
The authority provided incentives that include the exemption from registration and renewal fees, in addition to the legal consultations related to the service, for a period of three years, in support of compliance, and to stimulate the practices of the responsible financial impact on digital platforms.
In the same context, the body urges the public to verify the accreditation of financial influencers before interacting with them or relying on their recommendations, and calls for immediate reporting of any irregular financial activities through its website or the communication center, and it also stresses that dealing with non -certified bodies or individuals may expose investors to severe financial risks, stressing that the public awareness and active participation represents the first defense line in the face of financial content is not Reliable.
