Abu Dhabi, June 3 / WAM / Emirates International Aluminum Company announced an innovative technology test that can be wearing within its annual “Overcoming Heat” program, which aims to prevent heat -related diseases among its employees during the summer.
Heat -related diseases pose a threat to anyone working in exposed areas during the hot summer months in the area, and death causes if it is not treated.
The employees of the Emirates International Aluminum Company work around the clock every day of the year in an industrial environment that generates high temperatures, and despite this, the company is a world leader in combating heat -related diseases, as no injury has been recorded since 2021.
The Emirates International Aluminum Company has been conducting experiences since 2022, experiments on innovative, wearable technologies, aiming to monitor the health status of employees during the summer.
These modern technologies are designed to suit difficult industrial environments, such as Al -Maswar, as they enhance the accuracy of locations and improve communication, with the ability to send data immediately and continuously, allowing supervisors and safety teams to quickly inform the health condition, while this technology issues automatic notifications of work and rest in the event that the body temperature exceeds a certain limit.
The “Overcoming Heat” program of the Emirates International Aluminum Company is an annual initiative that extends during the summer months to combat heat stress and complete prevention of heat -related diseases, while this initiative continued for more than a decade to raise the level of awareness among the company’s employees with the early signs of thermal stress for them and their colleagues while empowering and preparing them to take the necessary measures.
In addition, the Emirates International Aluminum Company provided this year the body cooling units in its medical centers and some areas in its locations in Jebel Ali and Al -Tila, and these units provide a quick cooling for the entire body without any surgical interventions, in order to enhance safety and speed of response in emergency situations.
Abdel Nasser bin Kalban, CEO of Emirates International Aluminum Company, stressed the company’s keenness to enhance collective efforts to prevent heat injuries, as concrete results were achieved thanks to the concerted efforts between the various teams, expressing their aspiration to continue developing the “overcoming heat” program by benefiting from the latest solutions and innovative technologies.
The “Overcoming Heat” campaign launched by the Emirates International Aluminum Company includes examinations for employees to measure the percentage of body hydration before and during work shifts, in addition to giving them regular rest periods and washing to cool the body.
The washing booths, drinking units, ice devices and mobile air conditioning units are spread at the company’s sites to help employees maintain their body cold throughout the day.
