The Geological Survey, the seismic activity in the Kingdom is concentrated across the Kingdom in the Arabian Shield region and along the Red Sea from north to south.

She added through her official account on the website "X"that The Gulf of Aqaba range, which is considered one of the most active seismic zones in the Kingdom, as a result of the historical and recent seismic activity that occurred there.

She explained that the seismic activity in the Gulf of Aqaba range ranges in magnitude from medium to large.

She said "Geological survey" This activity is related to Tectonic borders surrounding the Kingdom from the western direction, represented by the Red Sea, in addition to the activity of parallel and perpendicular rifts on the Red Sea inside the Kingdom, in addition to the activity of volcanic magma under the volcanic heat areas extending from south to north of the Arabian Shield region, starting from the Jazan region, Asir Al-Baha, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and the Medina region, all the way to the north of the Kingdom.
