The World Cup qualifiers 2026 .. A new blow to Italy, with Kane’s injury

Italy received a new blow by hitting striker Moise Kane and his absence from the Norway and Moldavia confrontations on June 6 and 9 at the beginning of its career in the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, according to the local football federation announced Thursday.

“Moise Kane is not available for the next two matches due to a muscle tension in the right thigh that appeared during Wednesday’s training,” the federation said, adding, “Kane left the camp in order to return to his club and determine the appropriate treatment protocol.”

Kane, 25, presented his best in the colors of Fiorentina after moving to him from Juventus, where he finished the season in second place in the Italian league’s top scorer with 19 goals.

The Italian Federation has not indicated whether Kane (7 goals in 21 international matches) was replaced in the list that is supposed to travel Thursday to Oslo.

The List of coach Luchano Spalletti has previously received two strikes by denying her the services of Alessandro Bonageno for injury, Franchisco Atharbi, who refused to join the national team for personal reasons.

Spalletti lives under great pressure at the beginning of the national team’s journey in the ninth group against Norway and its stars Erling Halland, Martin Audigard and Alexander Surlosis, due to the failure of qualifying for the past two versions.

As a result of her preoccupation with her matches in the quarter-finals of the European Nations League against Germany (she lost a 1-2 going back and went out for her 3-3 draw), Italy was absent from the first two rounds of the group competitions that Norway topped with six points after winning its matches against Moldavia (5-0) and Israel (4-2), in front of the latter and Estonia (3 points each).
