The Ministry stated in a press statement, that this step reflects the UAE’s keenness to expand the presence of its national cadres in international financial organizations, and to enhance the awareness of Emirati students of international financial business opportunities.
He attended the session, which was held at the headquarters of the new Development Bank in Shanghai, His Excellency Muhannad Suleiman Al -Naqbi, the Consul General of the UAE in Shanghai, Three Hamid Al -Hashemi, Director of the Department of Relations and International Financial Organizations at the Ministry of Finance, and a member of the Board of Directors of the New Development Bank, and Cchiangu Chu, Vice President and Administrative Director of the New Development Bank, along with a number of bank officials.
Ali Abdullah Sharafi, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance for International Financial Relations Affairs, said that the ministry is keen to create interactive environments that bring together young Emirati competencies with international institutions with influence, with the aim of stimulating national energies and enabling them to explore professional opportunities in the global financial sector, that such meetings constitute a direct window on the reality of work in multilateral organizations, and allow students to see realistic experiences and promising professional paths, noting to The construction of Emirati cadres who are able on the international scene begins to invest in knowledge and communication, which is what the Ministry of Finance seeks to establish through these qualitative initiatives.
In turn, His Excellency Muhannad Suleiman Al -Naqbi, the Consul General of the UAE in Shanghai, said that the session reflects the integration of efforts between the Ministry of Finance and the diplomatic missions of the UAE in supporting the youth of the country and qualifying them to distinguish on the international scene, and that the UAE International Cadres initiative is an extension of the UAE diplomatic approach in building effective communication bridges between Emirati students and influential international institutions, expressing his aspiration to this session contribute to the inspiration of students And motivating them to explore new horizons in the international financial sector, in order to enhance their contribution to the national and global economies.
Qiangu Chu, Vice President and Administrative Director of the New Development Bank, delivered a speech at the opening of the event, in which he praised the continuous cooperation between the bank and the UAE, pointing out that the awareness session showed a distinguished level of attention and awareness among Emirati students in the field of international work.

He said that investing in young competencies is a priority for the bank, and that such meetings constitute an opportunity to introduce the next generation with rewarding professional paths in multilateral organizations, and enhance the opportunities for diversity and efficiency in the bank’s future cadres.
The session dealt with a presentation of the importance of the Emirates International Classs Initiative, and its role in enabling national competencies to access functional and training opportunities in the most prominent international financial institutions, by providing introductory programs, specialized knowledge content, and effective partnerships with organizations such as the new Development Bank, in addition to the Ministry’s efforts to work to create the environment needed to facilitate the joining of Emirati cadres to international financial institutions, by providing the necessary support in the submission procedures, And pressures, and training programs.
The session also included introductory offers presented by the representatives of the bank participating in the session, on employment mechanisms and vocational development opportunities in those institutions, and included the most prominent programs and initiatives targeting young competencies, application mechanisms, admission requirements and required specializations in these institutions, and the session also witnessed an interaction from the participating students who asked a number of questions about the conditions of application, the required specializations, and the work environment within the bank.
