Moroccan Wydad .. a historical test in Al Ain Group

Moroccan Wydad Sports enters its international adventure in the 2025 Club World Cup, which started this morning in America, with great aspirations and a desire to write a new history of the club and the Moroccan football, in light of an unprecedented historical participation that includes 32 teams from different continents.

Wydad had shown his seat in the championship after he crowned the CAF Champions League 2022, outperforming the Egyptian Al -Ahly with a clean double, to represent the brown continent alongside Al -Ahly, the Tunisian Esperance, and South Africa.

The draw fell the Moroccan team in a strong group, along with Manchester City (European Champion), Juventus, in addition to Al Ain (Asian champion before last).

In his participation, Wydad is counting on a young group and ambitious coach, South African Rolani Mukoina, who is coming from Sun Downs, who has made major changes in the team’s tactical system, relying on the 4-2-3-1 plan, with a balance between defensive hardness and offensive speed.

Among the most prominent elements that Noureddine Amrabat (midfield star), Mahdi Benbad (goalkeeper), Jamal Harkas, Batal Tawil (Heart of Defense), Mahdi Mubarak (Axis of Legal), and two wings Cassius Milola and Mohamed Rayhi.

Despite the difficulty of the group, the development of Wydad’s recent performance and clear tactical discipline gives the team hope in the adults and kidnapping one of the qualification card, which the team has never achieved in its previous participation in the championship.

Wydad will be in front of a historical test, not only to represent Morocco, but to prove the merit of African football in an exceptional version of the World Cup clubs.
