Dubai will become a destination for global basketball stars

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, confirmed that the participation of “Dubai Basketball Club” in the European League, as of the next season 2025-2026, will enhance Dubai’s position as a destination for international basketball stars, their fans and fans, and a station where the ancient European sports clubs will meet in this tournament.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said in a post on his official account on the X platform: “We congratulate the Dubai Basketball Club this upcoming participation, thus becoming the first team from the region to participate in this tournament, along with 20 European clubs, and we wish them success in the competitions that are followed by more than 300 million viewers annually.”

His Highness added: “The Dubai Sports Council continues to play a vital role in supporting local clubs, upgrading the sports system in the emirate, and providing opportunities for promising talents to compete in major sports forums.”
