Japanese healthcare and Japanese JICA launched a project "Patient health care"

The Public Health Care Authority, in cooperation with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), has officially launched the technical cooperation project & quot; health care based on the patient to achieve comprehensive health coverage & quot; (E-Pacc), in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj Al-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention, and Iwi Fumio, Japan’s Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Yu Yo Ebessawa, the main representative of the JICA office in Cairo.

& nbsp; Deputy Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Osama Abdel Hai, Captain of Egypt Doctors, Dr. Ahmed Taha, Chairman of the General Authority for Accreditation and Health Supervision (GAHAR), Dr. Tariq Al -Houbi, Chairman of the National Food Safety Authority, representatives of national and international health authorities, and a number of government, private and university hospitals, which reflects the great importance of the project as one of the pillars of supporting the comprehensive health coverage path in Egypt.

& nbsp; Joint projects contributed to enhancing the quality of health services, training medical cadres, and supporting the infrastructure of facilities, especially in the field of primary health care. in his speech during the launch activities, Dr. Ahmed Al -Sobky, President of the General Authority for Health Care and the General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, stressed that this project is a strategic station in the path of health transformation in Egypt, and a new step to consolidate The health care model based on the patient as one of the most important pillars of comprehensive health coverage, which reflects the state’s commitment to consolidating the principles of quality, dignity and justice within its health system.

& nbsp; Public hospitals & quot; (EH-SEPS), during which Japanese quality models (5s, Kaizen) were applied in 50 general hospitals, and more than 1,200 health service providers were trained in governance and patient safety, which contributed to reducing damage rates by a rate of 40%, and consolidating an institutional culture that puts the patient in the development axis. E-Pacc, which extends until 2027, aims to expand the application of the patient-based care model on a broader scale that includes 20 hospitals, 10 governorates, and more than 500 units and a preliminary care center, in a way that enhances the integration of service at all levels, and raises the efficiency of the treatment experience of the beneficiaries. To ensure improving the quality of care and the experience of the beneficiary, among them & quot; Patient trip dialogue & quot; (PJD), which provides an accurate understanding of the care path from the patient’s point of view, which helps to improve communication points within the health facility and increase satisfaction, in addition to activating the system & quot; reporting changing accidents & quot; (OVR), which provides instant monitoring of health safety accidents and analyzing their causes, which enhances a proactive culture of risk management within health facilities.

& nbsp; And localizing the best clinical practices within the authority’s facilities, and providing medical services based on the highest international standards for quality. Supported by artificial intelligence, which allows patients to be able to make enlightened decisions regarding their health condition, as this concept is based on establishing health rights by activating the Egyptian patient’s rights charter, which guarantees transparency and participation in the therapeutic decision, as well as building a culture of safety and governance through specialized units of clinical governance within the facilities, as well as teams to follow the satisfaction of the beneficiaries and analysis of feedback to improve Quality of services.

& nbsp; 336 health facilities, of which more than 80% obtained the accreditation of the General Authority for Accreditation and Health Supervision, and two hospitals obtained international accreditation from the International Joint Committee (JCI), namely Sharm El Sheikh International Hospital and Ismailia Medical Complex, and those achievements have been crowned with the Gold Care Authority from the International Hospital Federation for excellence in social impact And the environment.

Gahar plays a pivotal role in consolidating this concept, by issuing and applying 8 internationally accredited national standards, among them the guide to hospital accreditation, which puts the patient at the core of clinical and administrative policies and procedures within health facilities, ensuring the continuity of care and achieving a safe and effective treatment experience. Iwy Fumio, Japanese Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, for his pride in the growing partnership with Egypt in the health sector, stressing that the E-Paccc project embodies the depth of strategic relations between the two countries, which aims to support the Egyptian state’s efforts in building a comprehensive and effective health system, and added: & quot; we are proud to be part of this ambitious initiative, and are committed to continuing our support to achieve the goals of comprehensive health coverage in Egypt, and we know that empowering patients and improving the quality of care is a common priority between our two countries & quot;

Jo Ibessawa, the main representative of the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation (JICA) in Cairo, stressed that the project represents a new stage in technical cooperation between JICA and the Health Care Authority, indicating that E-Pacc focuses on transferring experience Japanese in the patient’s care for the patient to the Egyptian context through innovative tools that can be applied and expanded, saying: & quot; we believe that this project will be a role model in the region, and we will work alongside our Egyptian partners to ensure the achievement of the desired effect on the ground & quot;
