Messi and Paris Saint -Germain .. “Meeting of Bad Memories”

Argentine coach Javier Mascherano hopes that the American coach of Inter Miami will stimulate the bad memories of his compatriot Lionel Messi with Paris Saint -Germain, his performance in the upcoming confrontation between the two teams on Sunday, as part of the price of the FIFA World Cup final.
Miami suddenly qualified from the first group after his victory over the Portuguese Porto and his tie with Palmras, the Brazilian and Al -Ahly, to face the most difficult challenge against the newly crowded European champion.
Messi joined Miami after two seasons in the French capital, and on more than one occasion he did not enjoy his period in Paris.
“It is clear that it would be better for us if it was angry, because it is of the quality of the players who provide something additional when they have a motive or something that occupies them,” Masschirano told “ESBN”.
However, the Argentine coach admitted that the feelings would be less severe than if the match was held in Europe against Saint -Germain at home.
“I think it is from the past now, it is a different story. Also, the match is played here in the United States, I think the atmosphere will be different. But what we will try to do is to present a big match. We know that in order to have an opportunity we have to play perfectly, and we will try to do so.”
Messi had described his period in Paris after joining Miami in the US League, as “difficult”.
“I spent two years I did not enjoy. I was not happy in my daily life, neither in exercises nor in matches, and it was difficult for me to cope with all of this,” he said.
The Golden Ball award winner will meet eight times with the Saint Germain team, completely different from that he left, after he turned under the leadership of Spanish coach Luis Enrique.
Enrique is a familiar face to many Miami players who played under his leadership in Barcelona.
“It is a phenomenon” ..
Uruguayan Luis Suares, the Spanish Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, as Messi and Mascherano, all played under Enrique’s leadership in Barcelona and achieved the trilogy with him in 2015.
“I said that countless times: for me, he is the best, not only as a coach, but also in the way he managed the group,” Alba said.
“It is a phenomenon. I am excited to see him and his entire technical staff. I will embrace him, but when the referee calls the first whistle, I will try to win it. This is what we all seek here here.”
As for Suarez, who scored a draw with Palmeiras 2-2, he also praised the Spanish coach.
“For me, along with the Uruguayan coach (Uruguay), Uruguayan coach Luis Enrique was the most important coach in my career, when he taught me, and what I learned from them daily.”
“He is a coach who affected me a lot. I had a spirit of competition, but he increased it inside me. Teach me how to move in the spaces when I have a role that does not allow me to touch the ball a lot … not to mention the personal relationship that was full of respect and admiration for what he presented to us as players.”
In turn, Masschirano, who is in his first club training experience, said that he still maintains a personal friendship with Enrique and his family.
“This is the splendor of football sometimes. You find yourself in such confrontations, and frankly, I do not think I deserve it as a coach so far.”
“But it will be a very beautiful opportunity. I always wish him the best, except Sunday. I hope that luck will be in our ranks. But yes, I have a very good relationship with him and I appreciate him a lot,” the former Liverpool midfielder continued.
