Spain .. Two people were killed with a fire in a free wave hitting the country

Spanish firefighting teams announced that two bodies were found, after a fire that broke out in Leida Province, Catalonia, in the northeast of the country, in the midst of a severe free wave in the country.
Fire and emergency services said in a statement, that the firefighting teams found two dead people near the town of Koscow, while Salvador Ella, head of the Catalonia Regional Government, expressed his dissatisfaction with the killing of these two people.
The region had witnessed a few hours before that, the death of a two -year -old child after leaving several hours in a car parked under the sun in the city of Fallis, north of Taragona.
The region’s authorities ordered about 14,000 people to syndrome their homes due to this fire and another fire that erupted almost in Levida Province.
In early July 2025, Europe is witnessing a severe and unprecedented heat wave that greatly affected several countries, as temperatures exceeded 46 degrees Celsius in some areas such as Huelva in Spain. Spain also recorded the highest temperatures in its history for the month of June, with a average temperature of 23.6 degrees Celsius, and the high temperature of the Mediterranean water to record levels.
European Meteorological Authority “Copernicus” confirms that Europe records a faster heating pace than the global average, with free waves that start early and continue for longer periods, which increases health and environmental risks.
The World Health Organization has warned of the rise in heat waves, expecting more than 4,500 people in the coming days in Europe, and called for preventive measures such as drinking water in abundance and avoiding exposure to sunlight at peak times, with a focus on protecting the groups most at risk such as patients, the elderly and children.
