The fourth session of the Arab Poetry Forum in Africa starts from Chad

Sharjah, July 4 / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the Arab Poetry Meetings in Africa started its new version; The Republic of Chad yesterday embraced the activities of the fourth session of the Arab Poetry Forum in the capital, Anjamina, organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs in the Department of Culture in Sharjah in cooperation with the Literary Club in Chad for two days, with the participation of forty poets and poets from all over the country.

The Arab poetry forums in Africa come in implementation of the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah calling for the support of the Arabic language and the promotion of the presence of Arabic poetry there as a lever of awareness, a bridge of communication and a platform for highlighting poetic talents throughout the different continent, within a comprehensive vision that arises in Arab culture and devotes its role in building man.

The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by His Excellency Minister Saleh Jouma Joudah, Secretary -General of the Chadian government and Minister in charge of the linguistic dualism in Chad and Vice President of King Faisal University, as well as a number of diplomats, university professors, institutes, students, lovers of Arab poetry and its connoisseurs.

Dr. Ahmed Abu Al -Fath Othman, the cultural coordinator in Chad, confirmed that the fourth edition was keen to involve all regions of the country; To be a comprehensive national platform for lovers of poetry and a bridge linking the south and north and between professionals and talented people, indicating that this year’s forum witnesses the participation of forty poets and poets in a diverse poetic scene that expresses the richness of the Chadian cultural experience.

He praised the great support provided by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to the creators and poets in Africa and the Arab world and the patronage of His Highness for this forum and the preservation of the Arabic language.

For his part, His Excellency Saleh Joudeh said that the Republic of Chad is working to support the presence of the Arabic language in institutions and public space along with the rest of the national languages, greeting the participating poets and organizers, calling for the continuation of such initiatives that transcend conscience and enhance the position of the Arabic language in the hearts of people.

The poets participating in the forum presented a vibrant poems that reflected in its artistic structure and topics the depth of the human experience, as it was a mirror of the reality of man and its aspirations alike, and their texts were mixed in the daily language of dreams to get poetry out of its local to a broad human horizon.
