The football goalkeeper coach, Dr. Zakaria Ahmed, described the guard who was chosen in the new list of the national football team, and they are: Khaled Issa, Ali Khasif, Hamad Al -Maqbali, and Adly Mohamed, that they are the best currently in the Emirati league, and that there is no problem in this position, considering that the young goalkeeper, Hamad Al -Maqbali is a project for the future, alongside goalkeeper Adly Mohamed, who finally joined the club Victory, which opens a new door to him.

Zakaria stressed the importance of stability in the national team’s goalkeeper, which was occupied by Al Ain goalkeeper Khaled Issa and Al -Jazira goalkeeper Ali Khasif, because they are the most experienced and international experience and readiness, stressing at the same time that there is no problem currently in guarding the team’s goal, before its upcoming matches against the teams of Oman and Qatar, on October 11 and 14, within the qualifying attaché to the World Cup 2026. At this stage, the team needs a more experienced goalkeeper in the starting lineup, which is Khaled Issa, although the final decision remains in the hands of the coach of the national team, Roman Cosmin.

Zakaria Ahmed added to «Emirates Today»: “The goalkeeping center is very important. Therefore, any change in this center will not be in the interest of the team, and the two goalkeeper Khaled Issa and Ali Khasif must be settled, because they have great international experiences in decisive matches.”

Zakaria Ahmed, who had previously worked as a coach of the team’s goalkeepers, pointed out that there are new young faces in the guard center, such as Hamad Al -Maqbali, Adly Mohamed, as well as Sharjah goalkeeper Khaled Tawhid, and Al -Wasl goalkeeper Suhail Al -Mutawa, considering that they constitute an experience of experienced guards, such as Khaled Issa and Ali Khasif.

It is noteworthy that the team is currently continuing its external camp in Austria, with the participation of 29 players, who were chosen in the new list, and the camp continues until the sixth of next month, in the framework of preparations for the World Cup supplement matches.

It is scheduled that the team will hold another training camp next September, in the context of the technical staff’s keenness to reach the players to the highest levels of readiness in all aspects, amid everyone in the team’s sense of responsibility, especially since the “white” is only two games from achieving the dream of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

Zakaria Ahmed stressed that “the team needs during the coming period to play more friendly matches, in addition to the necessity of settling the starting lineup.”

He also stressed the importance of the team’s goalkeeper coach analyzing the performance of the teams of Oman and Qatar accurately, to determine the dangerous areas, especially since both teams finally renewed his technical staff.

Zakaria Ahmed also stressed the need for the team’s primary goalkeeper, Khaled Issa, more during the coming period, especially in light of the new style that the team follows under the leadership of coach Cosmin, considering that the time is no longer in the interest of the team with the approaching date of the two matches.
