Prime Minister: We believe that fighting human trafficking is not just a commitment

Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, today delivered a registered speech on the occasion of the International Day of Combating Human Trafficking, which coincides with the thirtieth of July of each year, noting that this occasion comes this year under the slogan & quot; human trafficking is an organized crime – stop exploitation & quot; which targets law enforcement, especially since this year is keeping pace with and the twenty -fifth anniversary The United Nations Protocol concerned with preventing, suppressing and punishing human trafficking; Especially women and children, which represents the cornerstone in the international legal framework to combat human trafficking, and Egypt was one of the first countries to join. Consistent with the objectives and principles of this binding international document, reaffirming the full commitment to the crucial confrontation of this crime, which violates human dignity and threatens the security of societies and the stability of countries. Includes it from a real threat to the life and hopes of millions of victims around the world, continuing & nbsp; that it is a belief & nbsp; from the Egyptian state with its national and humanitarian responsibility, it continues its efforts at all levels to protect human beings, especially the most exploited groups, as Egypt was keen during the past year to complete the axis of prevention and protection according to the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al -Sisi, the President of the Republic, through procedures that include increasing the number of shelter houses in the governorates, confirming the decentralization in providing these services, with the intensification of training for those in charge of the shelter management, as well as implementation of Resolution No. 349 of 2024 organized for the work of the Human Trafficking Victims Fund, which is carried out to provide financial aid, finance psychological and health support programs, prepare care, education and training programs for victims of crimes Human trafficking, financing of research, studies, training programs and cultural programs in the field of combating human trafficking, as well as financing the activities stipulated in the National Strategy to Combat Human Trafficking. The law, and the provisions for providing care services, in working to dismantle criminal networks, provide perpetrators for justice, and provide the necessary support and care for the victims.

& nbsp; Dr. Mustafa Madbouly pointed out that the Egyptian government emphasizes the axes that constitute an essential pillar in the state’s efforts to combat human trafficking, which includes strengthening the capabilities of the security authorities in addressing the organized crime related to human trafficking, as well as developing national legislation in line with international human rights standards, as well as raising societal awareness and preventive education, and expanding safe reporting channels, in addition to expanding regional partnerships The international is to achieve effective coordination and concrete results in combating this phenomenon.
