The UAE participates in the World Cycling Championship in Belgium

Dubai, August 8/ WAM/ The National Paralympic Committee announced the participation of players Ahmed Al -Badawi and Abdullah Al -Balushi, in the World Championship Championship, Belgium, from August 24 to September 1.
Theban Al -Muhairi, the Secretary -General of the Committee, confirmed that the preparation camp for the tournament held in the Emirate of Andora will continue until August 23, after the conclusion of the previous camp in Spain from July 15 to August 1, to raise the level of preparation of the cyclists, under the supervision of coach Mohamed Al -Meroe.
On the other hand, Al -Muhairi said that the UAE basketball team’s victory over the wheelchairs (3 x 3) in the seventh place in the World Championship in South Africa recently, with its superiority over the Malaysia national team with a score of 11 – 9 in the ranking match, confirms the great development that the game is witnessing in the country, especially since this center came after distinguished results, in a strong championship with the participation of the elite of the international teams.
He pointed out that the Paralympic Committee puts in its estimation the adoption of the development programs of the game of basketball, the adoption of the establishment of 4 gatherings in the new season, and 36 games in the scheduled competitions, especially with the increasing interest in them by the clubs, by preparing players in local and foreign camps, and participating in regional championships.
