Enabling “Dubai Electricity” for its youth expands their community participation

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority Youth Council is keen to support the community’s social responsibility and push its efforts to consolidate the culture of volunteer and humanitarian work among its employees. The youth of the authority records a positive and steadfast demand to benefit from the opportunities provided by the authority and the Council to make a positive impact on society, and to deepen their contribution to volunteer and societal work.

In line with the “Year of Society” in the UAE under the slogan “Hand in Hand”, and Dubai Social Agenda 33, the authority is keen to embody the insightful vision of the rational leadership towards building a coherent and prosperous society, and consolidating the culture of shared responsibility among all members of society, especially young people, to continue the march of social, economic and sustainable development.

In addition to its strategy aimed at empowering young people and qualifying them to play their pioneering role in achieving sustainable development, carbon neutrality and energy transmission, the authority is committed to preparing a generation adhering to its values and identity, and is keen to strengthen the bonds of the authentic Emirati society, protect resources and the environment, enhance the quality of life, and continue the path of building the homeland with confidence and efficiency.

“With the support of the senior management of the authority, we organize the activities aimed at inspiring and motivating young people and rehabilitating them to cause a sustainable positive societal impact, and to consolidate the values of belonging, giving and societal cohesion. Our efforts have resulted in enhancing the spirit of initiative among the youth of the commission, and expanding their participation in community service, to be the cornerstone of sustainable and comprehensive development. The youth’s demand for voluntary and societal initiatives proves the depth of their awareness and national sense, and their ability to play their constructive role, and the return of the beautiful to society and the homeland. ”

In turn, a member of the Commission Youth Council, Issa Al -Zarouni, said: “The voluntary and societal initiatives organized by the Authority’s Youth Council contribute to making positive change within society, and gave us the opportunity to translate the values of giving and belonging to concrete actions. We feel the size of our responsibility as young people in building a more sustainable and coherent future. Enabling us to enhance our skills, not only this, but also gives us a real platform to contribute to achieving the vision of the wise leadership and goals of (the year of society).

For its part, Hamda Al -Falasi, a member of the Youth Council, Hamda Al -Falasi said: “In conjunction with (the year of society), our participation in societal initiatives constitutes a deep reminder of the power of sympathy and the impact of sustainable giving. Through influential and purposeful works, we seek to provide support and spread positivity. We are proud, as members of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority Council, to contribute to supporting the authority’s efforts, embodying its real commitment to community service, and creating a positive difference. ”
