The Journalists Association celebrates the Emirati Women’s Day

Dubai, August 29/ WAM/ The Emirati Journalists Association celebrated the Emirati Women’s Day, at its headquarters in Dubai, with the participation of a group of women leaders in the areas of thought, creativity and institutional work.
Hind Ahmed Shaker, Director of Marketing and Institutional Communication at the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Foundation, and the plastic artist Kholoud Al -Jabri, and the poet Asma Al Hammadi, were highlighted, where their creative experiences and their career were highlighted.
Fadila Al -Muaini, President of the Emirates Journalists Association, stressed that the Emirati Women’s Day is not merely an occasion to celebrate, but rather a station to renew the covenant to continue the path of giving, which laid the foundations of the late Sheikh Zayed, may God rest his soul, and follow his approach to the wise leadership.
She explained that the Emirati women have proven during the past decades that they are a real partner in building the country, and that support for leadership made it a bright model in the region and the world.
She added that the gains and achievements achieved for women reflect the depth of the national vision developed by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, which made women empower a pivotal issue in the civilized state project.
Halima Al -Mulla, a member of the association’s board of directors, Chairman of the Activities and Events Committee, which managed the seminar, explained that this year’s celebration bears a special character, as it coincides with the passage of half a century after the establishment of the state.
Hind Ahmed Shaker, Director of the Marketing and Institutional Communication Department at the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation in Dubai, said that she participated in many local and international committees, most notably the Awareness and Information Committee in the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, as well as the representation of the state in official delegations that discussed issues related to the environment, transport and trade and that it won many awards and honors.
As for Kholoud Al -Jabri, it highlighted that art represents a mirror of the woman’s journey in society, and documents its pioneering role in the path of the homeland.
She added that Emirati women have achieved a distinguished presence in the artistic scene, as she was able, through her paintings and works, to reflect their ambitions and document their success stories, and that Emirati women today contribute strongly to the cultural and artistic scene locally and globally.
The poet Asma Al -Hammadi said that the support of national cultural institutions has opened the prospects for participating in international forums, which strengthened her presence as a young Emirati voice in the poetic scene, pointing out.
