What did the Al -Dhafra coach say about the Al -Wasl match, “The Museum of Revenge”?

The coach of the Al -Dhafra team, Montenegri Zeliko Petrovic, confirmed his respect for the Al -Wasl team and all the competing teams, noting at the same time that his permanent goal remains to achieve victory, before the upcoming confrontation against Al -Wasl in the first leg of the first round of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup, scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at the Hamdan Bin Zayed Stadium.

In response to a question to “Emirates Today”, the coach said about the team’s achievement of an easy victory for Al -Wasl in the league championship and the possibility of repeating it, and whether the match will be easier in the absence of a number of Al -Wasl players for their participation with the team: “Al -Wasl is a big team, so that the bench of its substitute is an integrated team, and therefore the match will not be easy at all.”

He added: “Each match has its circumstances, and the tiny respects the connection and all the competitors, but the focus is always focused on harvesting the three points.”

Petrovic explained that his team is completely ready in terms of physical, technical and tactical, pointing out that Al -Dhafra performed a distinguished performance in its last league match, but the confrontation of the cup will be different as it is in another championship, but the team is required to play in the same way so that it can compete with a strong team such as Al -Wasl.

The coach stressed that the most important thing for him is a good performance, because providing a distinguished level in any match gives the team confidence and hope to stay in the professional league.

He added that the pure defense method does not prefer it, and that the players prefer the offensive approach, but he pointed out that the ongoing attack throughout the match is not possible, especially in light of the pressure that the opposing team may impose.

He also stressed that Al -Dhafra will continue his career in the championship with the same approach, recalling that the team had previously defeated Al -Wasl in four out of five confrontations, and that ambition in the club does not know limits.

On the belief of some that the championship is stimulating, Petrovic explained that it is inappropriate for any coach to play a match and is convinced of the loss in advance, but the mentality must always be how the victory can be achieved, despite the difficulty of the matter with the presence of three championships in the season.

He added that the priority lies in stabilizing the team’s feet in the league, because of this importance in enhancing the experience of young players, especially those under the age of twenty years, who are counting on the club in the near future.
