45 thousand visitors to the Dibba Al -Hosn Festival for salty and fishing

Sharjah on the first of September/ WAM/ The activities of the 12th session of the Dibba Al -Hosn Festival for salty and marine fishing 2025, organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the municipality of Dibba Al -Hosn during the period from 28 to August 31 in Al -Hosn Island and attracted more than 45 thousand visitors and achieved sales and financial returns for exhibitors exceeding one million dirhams in an indication of the success of the event as an economic, heritage and tourist platform Integrated.

The festival – which is one of the most prominent heritage forums specialized in the manufacture of salty at the state level – witnessed a wide participation by more than 100 exhibitors from government agencies and the private sector as well as craftsmen, productive families and commercial stores specialized in salty products and its derivatives in a rich interactive environment that combined originality and innovation and reflected the commitment of the organizers to protect the Emirati cultural identity and advance the wheel of economic and tourism growth in the eastern region of the emirate Sharjah.

The festival presented to its visitors a comprehensive picture, in which he shed light on the profession of marine fishing and the Al -Maleh industry, which formed the lifestyle of coastal societies in the Emirates.

The festival departments included a central market for salty in which the finest types of salted and dried fish were offered as well as wings for local agricultural products and a vital area of ​​popular restaurants that provided dishes inspired by the marine heritage as well as platforms of display of the latest technologies in the world of boat and fishing engines, which formed a bridge between the traditional heritage and modern innovation.

His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed that the festival continued its pioneering career as one of the most prominent events that embody the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah in keeping the heritage a living and active component in the fabric of society and ensuring the sustainability of the professions associated with the sea, which represents an integral part of our national identity, indicating that the room made its efforts With its partners to organize an exceptional version of the event, a qualitative shift in size and content, explaining that the exhibition area increased by 140% to 4800 square meters, which enabled more hosting of the exhibitors and expanding the scope of activities.

He noted the success of the festival in attracting entrepreneurs, which reflects the great confidence it enjoys as a stimulating platform for innovation in the traditional food industries and supporting small and medium enterprises.

For his part, Talib Abdullah Al -Yahyai, ​​Director of Dibba Al -Hosn, praised the distinguished level that the festival reached thanks to the concerted organizational efforts and the keenness to ensure an exceptional experience of visitors and participants alike.
