We trust in the ability of sports federations to convert aspirations into concrete achievements

Dr. Ahmed Balah Al -Falasi, Minister of Sports, held a meeting with the heads of the councils of the Sports Federations Department that the Ministry of Sports approved its formation within the electoral session (2024-2028), to discuss work mechanisms during the next stage, and to consolidate the national role of federations in developing the Emirati sport system and raising its competitiveness, as well as enhancing its societal and economic contributions to the development process witnessed by the state.
At the beginning of the meeting, the heads of federations congratulated their assumptions of their responsibilities, stressing his confidence in their ability to assume this national responsibility and turn aspirations into tangible achievements that enhance the position of Emirati sport on the regional and international arenas, and praised the electoral movement witnessed by the general assembly meetings in a number of other unions.
He stressed that the next stage requires redoubling efforts to develop Emirati sport with its competitive and societal aspects, and the importance of working in the spirit of one team and according to an integrated strategic vision that contributes to achieving the targets of the national strategy for sports 2031, and enhances the sector’s contribution to the comprehensive development process in the country.
He affirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Sports to provide full support and support to sports federations, and to provide all the possibilities that would improve the work of federations and enable them to care for national talents and enhance their global competitiveness.
He praised the increase in the representation of the female component within the new formations of sports federations in line with the state’s approach to empowering women and enhancing their presence in decision -making sites in all fields, where the percentage of women’s representation exceeded 20% of the total members of the new boards For Emirati athletes, and supports the attractive environment for international sports investments and events in the country.
He stressed that the diversity between national cadres and global competencies constitutes a major driver for innovation and excellence within the national sports system, noting that activating the role of federations in promoting the axis of community sport is no less important than their role in developing the levels of competitive sport, as the state pays great attention to spreading sports culture and healthy lifestyles as a basic pillar of building a healthy, coherent and sustainable society, which is in line with the goals of “the general community.”
The meeting was attended by Major General (M) Nasser Abdul -Razzaq Al -Razouki, head of the Karate Federation, Noura Al Jasmi, President of the Federation of Budget, and Anas Nasser Al -Otaiba, President of the Boxing Federation, Saeed Al -Aji, President of the Emirates Sports Federation for All, Dr. Hoda Al -Matroushi, President of the Modern Federation, Nasr Al -Neyadi, President of the Air Sports Federation, Hanadi Al -Kabouri, President of the Sagittarius and Arrow Union, and Abdel -Malik Jani, President of the Treethlon Federation, along with the senior officials in the ministry And sports federations.
