“Dubai Economy Leaders” looks forward to geopolitical and economic challenges

The Dubai Economy Council Council, within the activities of the Mohammed bin Rashid Forum for leaders, discussed ways to enhance the competitiveness of the Emirate of Dubai, and to consolidate its leading global position in the economic, tourism, investment and financial sectors.

The Council was attended by the Director General of the Department of Economics and Tourism in Dubai, Hilal Saeed Al Murri, a number of Dubai leaders and international experts.

Al -Marri said that the Mohammed bin Rashid Forum for leaders establishes the leadership model of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, based on implementation, excellence, ambition and shared responsibility, where the forum was designed to be a strategic platform for exchange of visions, unifying priorities, and turning leadership principles into practical practices that contribute to strengthening the Dubai development march.

He added that the Dubai Economy Leadership Council brings together the emirate leaders and a group of international experts in a constructive dialogue based on cooperation and exchange of ideas, and allows decision makers to participate in in -depth discussions to draw the priorities of the next stage, develop specific ideas and projects, and develop flexible and smart economic strategies that enhance the presence of Dubai World, in line with the targets Establishing the emirate’s position among the three most important economic cities in the world, and double the size of the emirate’s economy by 2033.

The Dubai Economy leadership Council witnessed interventions from a group of Dubai leaders and international experts, during which they presented an in -depth analytical vision of global trends in the economy, investment and financing, reviewing opportunities to benefit from global economic transformations and convert challenges into growth engines and strategic opportunities.

The interventions also touched on the role of the tourism sector in enhancing Dubai’s economic position, as speakers praised the emirate’s ability to develop innovative tourism products and services, and to attract increasing numbers of visitors and tourists from around the world, and stressed that the continuous investment in tourism infrastructure and the development of visitors’ experience contribute to the sector’s growth, and promote Dubai’s position as a global tourist destination.

They pointed out that the Emirate of Dubai continues to consolidate its leading position as the capital of money, business and financial services in the region, by enhancing financial infrastructure, developing laws and regulations, caring for innovation, and providing an attractive environment for foreign investments, and explained that these integrated efforts guarantee Dubai to maintain its financial leadership.

The speakers focused on anticipating future investment opportunities, diversifying economic sectors, and attracting strategic projects and global talents, and stressed that Dubai continues to develop innovative policies and incentives, advanced infrastructure, and flexible organizational measures, enabling investors to achieve sustainable growth, and enhances the emirate’s position as a leading global investment and business center.

The speakers emphasized that the future of the global economy is no longer measured by numbers alone, but rather with the ability of countries to innovate and boldness in making decisions and transforming change into sustainable growth, stressing that Dubai has the potential necessary to develop flexible and smart strategies, which contributes to consolidating its economic leadership and anticipating future growth opportunities.

The Dubai Economy Command Council concluded with an interactive leadership workshop, in cooperation with “Bloomberg”, titled “How economists think?”, Where the workshop aimed to anticipate the potential geopolitical and economic challenges, stimulate strategic thinking among the participants, and enhance the interaction between them.

During the workshop, practical tools and experiments were presented that help to anticipate the required skills and approach in the economic sector, to convert visions into implemented strategies, which strengthens the role of Dubai as a model for future ready -to -future governance.

The Dubai Economy Command Council represents one of the various councils within the Mohammed bin Rashid Forum for leaders, as well as the Council of Leadership of Cultural and Media, the Council of Future City Leaders, the Council of Community Integration Leadership, and the Dubai Technological and Seamatic Leadership Council, all of which aim to enhance cooperation and exchange of visions between decision makers and experts, and draw future paths for the Emirate of Dubai at various levels.
