Kuwait .. 4000 citizens and residents were banned from traveling due to electricity, phone and installments bills

A recent statistic issued by the “Statistics and Research Department” in the Ministry of Justice revealed that the number of travel ban orders in the implementation department against citizens and residents reached about 4000 travel ban orders, “during the period from January 1 to July 31, 2025”.

According to the Kuwaiti newspaper “Al -Qabas”, the statistic revealed that the number of orders to lift travel in the same period amounted to 21,539.

She pointed out that the number of applications for seizing and bringing a debtor reached 12 thousand and 325 applications, and the travel ban requests reached 42 thousand and 662 applications.

The statistic pointed out that the number of travel ban orders in the Family Court reached 2398, and the orders of the travel ban was 1262.

The newspaper quoted a source in the Ministry of Justice as saying that the most prominent travel prevention cases are expenses, checks, banks, phones, installments, rents and electricity bills.

He pointed out that the new legal amendments regarding the prohibition of travel and the collection of debts contributed to reducing the number of travel ban orders.
